many congrats on your website its really good.
i am a very keen barry sheene fan who like yourself was fortunate to meet him on many occasions.
my most memorable story about barry is this in early 2002 i wrote to barry in australia asking him
if he could point me in the right direction in obtaining a barry sheene replica arai helmet,
to my great surprise a few weeks later arrived one arai sheene helmet sent to me by barry at no cost
to myself and to top this of i went to goodwood in september 2002 where i was fortunate enough
to see and thank barry in person for the helmet and both he and steph signed it for me and i had it
all recorded for me on cam corder also. thats the kind of great man he was and im sure you
could count on one hand the number of celebs today who would do that for you.
i also enclose a pic of barry and myself at his old address in charlwood surrey in 1986.

Hi,Have just come across your site! I am very impressed! I have been a huge fan of Barry's since the early seventy's and met him many times! I last met him in Australia in 2002 at the Indy car race at Surfer's Paradise where he posed for a photo and a chat! I am a very big collector of 'Barry Sheene' memrobillia and Iam always on the lookout for more!

Great to see this site, and read some of the lovely things on here.
I met Barry in 1983 at Brands Hatch(Transatlantic Trophy) and his good friend Steve Parrish. I got both their autographs on my programme and have had them framed along with a pic of the two of them racing. Its my pride and joy. I did have a photo taken of myself & Barry but a jealous ex-husband accidentally exposed the film and it was lost.
Glad to see Sidonie Sheene is a supporter of the site and look forward to seeing many more.

As a youngster I had the pleasure to watch the great man race at various circuits around the country.
Without Barrys charm and cheeky approach to the media, would motorcycling be where it is today, I think not, one of the great ambassadors for the sport.
Training as a 16 year old motorcycle apprentice I had the opportunity to work on one of Barrys machines (under close suppervision I might add)and to meet Barry in person, a period of my life i will never forget.
Keep up the good work, a tribute to the great man, lets hope more pictures can be added.
