Stirling - Scotland

Had the great pleasure of meeting Barry & Steve Parish at the NW200 in 2002. Seen them in the paddock where they spoke to all fans and competitors not just the big names. Later bumped into them in one of the local night spots where they were shooting the breeze with racers & bike fans while partaking in more than a few cheeky drinks. Great guy and a legend not to be forgotten.

Fantastic site, am visiting the Barry Sheene International race festival this weekend.. The last time I saw Barry race was at the 1984 Gold Cup at olivers mount.. Seeing Barry come out of Mere Hairpin, on the back wheel adjusting his boot will stay with me forever.. I'll never forget also hearing of his crash in 1982 at Silverstone over the BBC. Silverstone suffered a drop in attendance that year, showing his magnetism. Thanks for the site, please keep up the great work
